Professional certification increases your credibility in the marketplace and serves as tangible evidence that you have what it takes to provide top-notch support and service to your employer.
Testing Center Hours
Tuesday 9:00am - 7:00pm.
Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Saturday morning testing is also available on select dates. Extended hours may also be available upon request. Call 251-478-6848 for availability. Please note: Testing is by appointment only.
Exam Availability
MTI's certification testing center is the eastern Gulf Coast's most comprehensive facility, serving as a test site for more than 700 different exams. MTI is an authorized certification test center for many exam providers, including:
- Castle Worldwide
- Certiport
- Drake/Kryterion
- Iso-Quality Testing
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- PAN
- Prometric (IT exams only)
- PSI/Lasergrade
- ServSafe
- Test of English as a Foreign Langage (TOEFL)
Scheduling Tests
If you are taking an IC3 or ServSafe exam, it is necessary to call MTI's Test Administrator at 251-478-6848 to schedule your test. For all other exams, register as directed by your exam vendor or association and specify Mobile Technical Institute as your testing site.
Special Exams
Local Proctor Site: If you are enrolled in an online degree program, you'll likely be asked to find a local proctor site for several exams while you are in school. MTI can serve as a local test proctor site for both paper and pencil and online exams.
On-Site Testing: MTI has a special "mobile testing unit" for Prometric and Certiport exams. If you have several people who need to sit for these vendors, MTI can bring the exams to your site.

MTI's convenient Mobile, AL certification testing center location is easily accessible from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Northwest Florida, and additional locations throughout Alabama. (see location)
