Description of Course
If you're looking for a way to perfect your grant writing skills, this class is for you! In this special "hands-on" program led by professional grant writing consultant Dr. Bob Zeanah, participants will learn how to refine their grant writing style.
During the course of this class, you will learn creative ways to edit your writing to make your words stronger, eliminate weaknesses, make your writing crisper, and refresh your memory on the important things your high school English teacher taught you. The class will cover how to structure the 'most important sentence' in your grant application, words to avoid, and how editing will make a more powerful and readable grant.
Note: Due to the unique format of this class, you will need to bring a grant that you are currently working on or one that you've completed in the past to class, either on your own laptop or on a thumb drive (in Microsoft Word or a text file). You'll have an opportunity to work on polishing the grant that you bring with you during the class, with individual assistance and feedback from the instructor.
