Description of Course
Could your business writing skills use a little polishing? If you're looking for a way to perfect your writing skills, this class is for you! In this special "hands-on" program, led by professional writing consultant Dr. Bob Zeanah, participants will learn how to refine their writing style.
How to Perfect Your Business Writing is an interactive class works on editing skills that participants can take back with them to their offices and utilize throughout their writing. Some of the class is a review of important grammar learned in school, but forgotten. However, most of the class teaches how to make business easier to read and better quality writing in order to have greater impact. Examples of good writers are used to reinforce topics.
During the course of this class, you will learn creative ways to edit your writing to make your words stronger, eliminate weaknesses, make your writing crisper, and refresh your memory on the important things your high school English teacher taught you. The class will cover how to structure the 'most important sentence', words to avoid, and how editing will make a more powerful and readable writing.
Note: Due to the unique format of this class, you will need to bring writing samples that you have completed or that you are currently working on, either on your own laptop or on a thumb drive (in Microsoft Word or a text file). You'll have an opportunity to work on polishing your writing that you bring with you during the class, with individual assistance and feedback from the instructor.

- Writing simply
