E-Verify Mandates and Mechanisms for Compliance (Audio Conference & CD)
E-Verify is an online system that allows participating employers to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from an employee's Form I-9 against Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security databases.
Although initially implemented as a voluntary program, many states now require the use of E-Verify. Additionally, as a result of a presidential executive order released in June, federal contractors are also required to use the system. PHR SPHR Certification Prep
Want to earn your PHR-SPHR certification? MTI offers a 13-week PHR-SPHR Certification Prep course twice each year, in partnership with the Mobile Society for Human Resource Management.
One session begins in early September and the other begins in late January. Classes are scheduled to coincide with the Human Resources Certification Institute's testing windows. Classes are held at MTI's Mobile, AL training center.
Next Scheduled Class
The fall 2009 class session will begin on Tuesday, September 8 and run through Tuesday December 8. Classes will meet Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 8:45 pm, wtih no class scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving.
